Tooth Whitening

There are a ways to whiten your teeth. At Quality Dental Care we think it is best to do it at home. The dentist will make a mold of your teeth. Create a special tray that fits your teeth perfectly. You will get a gel to put in the tray and use at home. Over a couple of weeks your teeth will start to look whiter.

This way is not too expensive. It is gentle on your teeth. You can do it at your pace and touch up your teeth whenever you want. You might feel a little sensitive for a time but that is normal.

Tooth whitening only works on your teeth. If you have crowns or fillings they will not change color.. You can replace them later if you want to.

Crowns

Crowns are mostly used to make your teeth stronger but they can also make your teeth look better by changing the shape, color and how they are lined up.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What should I do if I knock out a tooth?
If you knock out a tooth, try to place it back in its socket immediately. If that’s not possible, store the tooth in a container with milk or water and come to our office right away. The faster you seek treatment, the higher the chances of saving the tooth.
2. How can I relieve a severe toothache at home before I can see the dentist?
You can take over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen to manage pain temporarily. Applying a cold compress to the outside of your cheek can also help reduce swelling. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the tooth, as it can cause tissue damage.
3. How do I know if I need a root canal for a tooth infection?
If you have severe pain, prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold, or swelling around the tooth, these could be signs of an infection that requires a root canal. We can assess your condition and provide the appropriate treatment.
4. Can a chipped tooth be fixed right away?
Yes, we can often repair a chipped tooth in one visit using fillings, crowns, or bonding, depending on the severity of the damage.
5. What is an abscess, and how do you treat it?
An abscess is an infection at the root of a tooth or in the gum tissue. It can cause severe pain, swelling, and fever. We treat abscesses by draining the infection, cleaning the area, and providing antibiotics to clear up the infection.
6. Will my dental insurance cover emergency dental care?
Many dental insurance plans cover emergency dental care, but the extent of coverage varies. We recommend checking with your provider for specific coverage details. We can help you understand your insurance benefits and offer flexible payment options if needed.
